ESPN RADIO HOST PAUL FINEBAUM TO ADDRESS OPENING SESSION OF FBA ANNUAL MEETING

Nationally-known ESPN Radio host Paul Finebaum will address Executive Directors and other personnel representing the Football Bowl Association’s 41 games, it was announced today by FBA Executive Director Wright Waters.
Finebaum’s remarks will be heard by the collective FBA membership on Wednesday, April 13, the opening day of the FBA’s 3-day annual meeting in Ponte Vedra, FL.
A longtime writer and broadcaster, Finebaum hosts The Paul Finebaum Show, a four-hour daily program heard Monday-Friday on ESPN Radio from 2-6 p.m. [EDT]. In addition to his acclaimed show, Finebaum also appears on a number of other ESPN platforms, including SportsCenter, College Football Live & College Game Day. Finebaum’s daily radio broadcast is also simulcast on the nationally-distributed SEC Network.
“Paul Finebaum is one of college football’s most accomplished journalists,” said Waters. “All of us attending the annual meeting are greatly looking forward to his observations about the current state of the game, as well as what he sees for college football going forward.”
Prior to joining ESPN, Finebaum served as host of the Paul Finebaum Radio Network from 2001-12. He arrived in Birmingham, AL in 1980 and became an award-winning columnist and investigative reporter for the Birmingham Post-Herald and later the Mobile Press-Register. He wrote a college football column for SI.com from 2011-12.
His radio work has been recognized by, among others, Sports Illustrated, Bleacher Report, ESPN as well as numerous newspapers throughout the South.
Finebaum is a 1978 graduate of the University of Tennessee.
